What is shotcrete?

Shotcrete is a method of applying concrete projected at high-velocity, primarily onto a vertical or overhead surface. The impact created by the application consolidates the concrete. Although the hardened properties of shotcrete are similar to those of conventional cast-in-place concrete, the nature of the placement process results in an excellent bond with most substrates, and rapid or instant capabilities, particularly on complex forms or shapes.

Why does a concrete pool take longer than a fiberglass pool to install?

A fiberglass shell goes right into the yard as soon as it is dug, with the plumbing and stone base installed. With a concrete pool, the gunite or shotcrete needs to cure and the final finish needs to be brushed and cared for up to 30 days after installation.

Does Ashton Pool also offer concrete patios?

Our clients love the look and feel of gorgeous natural travertine and marble which we use for most of our jobs. We also use the highest quality porcelain imported directly from Italy, as well as manmade paver options.
