A Fenwick Island Transformation
The Challenge
When the homeowner came to us, her backyard featured a fiberglass pool that no longer met her needs. The existing setup felt dated and limited—not just in aesthetics, but in function. The wooden deck had weathered over time, and the overall design lacked the clean lines and modern feel she was looking for. She wanted a fresh start: a pool that matched the architecture of her home, supported easy relaxation, and delivered lasting quality without unnecessary complexity.
The Results

One of the biggest considerations was staying within a clear budget while maximizing the visual and functional impact of the new design. This meant making thoughtful choices about what to remove, what to reuse, and where to invest in long-term value.
The new backyard is a complete transformation. A custom rectangular gunite pool now anchors the space, finished in a bold Pebble Sheen Ocean Blue that brings both depth and elegance. A built-in tanning ledge and two straight-line in-pool benches provide versatile seating and lounging areas, creating a space that’s ideal for entertaining or winding down.
The surrounding deck features travertine coping with an antiqued finish, blending classic texture with modern simplicity. Subtle but effective upgrades—like a Clear Comfort advanced oxidation sanitation system and nicheless Jandy LED lighting—add a layer of convenience and sophistication without complicating the daily experience.
By reusing existing equipment where possible, we stayed aligned with the homeowner’s budget goals, allowing us to focus on premium materials and finishes that elevate the entire space.
This project is a perfect example of how strategic design and craftsmanship can turn limitations into opportunities—and how a well-planned rebuild can breathe new life into a backyard. The Fenwick Flip is now a modern, low-maintenance oasis that fits seamlessly into the homeowner’s lifestyle.
